Cancun Underwater Museum

The new Underwater Museum of Art (MUSA), located within the protected Cancun’s Marine Park is the newest and now world recognized attraction. Enlisted by Forbes as one of the 13 most unique places to visit in the world!

The 400-plus life size sculptures were created by British artist Jason De Caires Taylor, internationally recognized for his outstanding work that blends modern art with environmental conservation. “The Silent Evolution”, as it is called, is a monumental group of sculptures showing how today Mayan people have evolved throughout centuries.

The sculptures are made of a special blend of concrete, promotes the adhesion of coral and reef marine life to become a colony for all kinds of marine species and relieve the stress to the natural coral reef.
